Considering Moving Your Business to The City of Fountains?
A Brief Overview of KCMO
Kansas City, Missouri (KCMO) was officially nicknamed “The City of Fountains” because it is said to be home of more fountains than any city in the world except Rome. Precisely how many fountains there are in Kansas City is not known, for both private and public fountains are added regularly. KCMO is the largest city in Missouri and the sixth largest city in the entire Midwest. According to the 2015 U.S. Census Bureau, the city had an estimated population of 475,378 in 2015, making it the 36th largest city by population in the United States.
Kansas City was founded in the 1830s as a Missouri River port at its confluence with the Kansas River coming in from the west. On June 1st, 1850 the town of Kansas was incorporated; shortly after came the establishment of the Kansas Territory. Unsurprisingly, the was confusion between the two and the name Kansas City was assigned to distinguish them shortly after.

- Take in a bit of history at the National World War I Museum and Memorial
“Awesome: This is a really informative trip back in time. There are lots of exhibits with lots of information. There are 2 video presentations about the start of the war and the start of the United States entering the war. They are very good. There is even a “field of poppies.” If you are a history buff, this is the place to visit! Don’t miss it if you get to Kansas City.” Review by Justjaneth
“Amazing Free Museum: This museum exceeded my expectation. They have a well put together collection that takes you through centuries of artworks all the way to present day. It was not crowded and the staff was very helpful. Get there early and park for free on the side street. It looks like they have an amazing cafe but we didn’t have time to try it.” Review by Daryl F.
